Ministry of Agriculture of St Kitts announced that an Animal Nutrition Management training session will be provided to the farmer.
Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources of St Kitts has recently announced that an Animal Nutrition Management training session will be provided to the farmer of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Department of Agriculture St Kitts, through its Livestock Extension division, is offering a series of ‘Animal Nutrition Management’ training sessions to livestock farmers, beginning at the Old Road Community Center, as per the official statement shared by the Ministry of the Twin-Island Federation.
The Ministry has furthermore informed the livestock farmers that Seminars will be hosted, which will share knowledge regarding the ways and basic techniques associated with farming. These seminars will be organised during the second quarter of 2023.
The training sessions will commence on June 19, 2023 (Monday) and will be concluded on August 21 (Monday). As per the Agriculture Ministry of St Kitts and Nevis, the selected venues and dates for the hosting of these seminars are:
Livestock Extension Officer at the Department of Agriculture, and training facilitator, Delesha Huggins spoke with the Media and Communication Unit and explained the importance of the sessions, which will focus on the topic, "Animal Nutrition: The Fundamental Building Block of Animal Health and Productivity".
Furthermore, it appealed to interested livestock farmers to register and can take advantage of the seminars for the betterment and development of the sector in the Federation.
"To register for the training, interested persons are asked to visit the Livestock Division at the Department of Agriculture or call 465-2110 for further information," it stated while appealing.
It is to be noted that the sessions are scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
